Dobberpuhl Memorial Scholarship - Criteria

Amount: $400

 

Consideration for awarding a scholarship in the amount of $400 is given to students who qualify on the following criteria:

The Scholarship is eligible to any High School Senior who resides and attends a High School located in Ozaukee County and meets the established eligibility criteria.

​

It is limited to those planning to continue their education at a two or four year accredited College, University or Technical School in a regularly established degree program. Degree programs and majors relating to the occupations and interests of Harold C. Dobberpuhl are part of the established criteria for awarding the scholarship, which are:

​

  • Public Administration and Public Service

  • History and Historic Reenactment

  • Historic Preservation

  • Photography and Graphic Arts

​

A qualified student who applies for the scholarship must have a good attendance record and have maintained a cumulative grade point average of "B" or better noted on copies of the applicants Junior Year and 1st Semester Senior Year High School Transcript or Progress Report.

Extracurricular, home and community service, club and organizational membership, along with interest and hobbies are to be listed on the Scholarship Application Form. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Individuals who meet the established criteria and complete the application must return all of the requested application information on before the established deadline of April 1st. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered!

​

This is a one-time grant in the amount of $400, and is not an annual grant. The scholarship amount will be awarded and made payable to the school and the student upon proof of matriculation for the student’s 1st semester of college and 2nd semester registration.

Those individuals not meeting the above established criteria will not be considered. All Scholarship Applications are considered Personal and Confidential. The Scholarship Selection Committee has established a non-discriminatory policy with regard to gender, race, color, creed, or disability.

The awarded applicant will be notified by mail and telephone and if the school has an established awards program, we would be pleased to present the scholarship award at that time. We reserve the right to publicity, which may include a photo and related news release.
